OUTsurance was awarded the prestigious Ask Afrika Orange Index Award for service excellence in the short-term insurance industry.

OUTsurance was awarded the prestigious Ask Afrika Orange Index Award for service excellence in the short-term insurance industry at an awards conference held in Sandton.

The annual Ask Africa Orange Index survey is the only benchmark of its kind in South Africa and is widely regarded as an objective, authoritative measure of customer satisfaction.

It measures the user experience across all points of interaction with a company. Clients rate factors such as staff friendliness, listening skills, empathy, degree of personalised individual attention and response times.

Trevor Devitt, Head of Communications at OUTsurance comments, "the Orange Index once again provided us with valuable feedback as to how the quality of our service compares to that of our competitors.

"Last year we achieved second place, so it's certainly rewarding to have won the award this year. This can only be attributed to the truly outstanding efforts of each and every OUTsurance staff member.

"That being said, we simply cannot afford to become complacent and this award will most definitely serve to inspire us to reach even greater levels of service excellence. "

Ask Africa CEO Andrea Rademeyer agrees, "customers‘ needs and expectations are extremely dynamic and tend to change continuously. Companies ignoring that truth in their service delivery do so at their own risk and will suffer the consequences."

In closing, Devitt says that "the ultimate focus of our business is still to give each and every individual the best insurance experience they have ever had, irrespective of whether there's an award up for grabs. If this means that OUTsurance will walk away with another award next year, that would be great, but right now, we need to continue our commitment in going the extra mile.
