You can add your biological children, stepchildren or legally adopted children to the same funeral policy
You can add them to your policy before they turn 21. Thereafter, they will need to take out their own funeral policy. You can add up to eight children to one funeral policy.
The legal limits on the sum OUTsured for a child defined by the Long-term Insurance Act stipulates that the cover amount at claim stage for children younger than 6 is R20 000 and R50 000 for children between the ages of 6 and 14. Cover for children is limited to 50% of the main life OUTsured’s cover.
