General rules of the draw
- Participation in this draw constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- This draw is organised, and prizes are sponsored by OUTsurance Insurance Company Limited (OUTsurance).
- Directors, employees and direct family members of employees of OUTsurance Holdings and its subsidiary companies are not eligible to enter the draw.
- Participants who have a policy with only public liability cover are excluded from this promotion.
- E-hailing and metered taxi businesses are excluded from this promotion.
- The draw is open to individuals from registered businesses, partnerships and/or sole proprietors.
- Participants are only entitled to one entry in the draw.
- All Participants must be 18 years or older.
- All Participants must be in possession of a valid passport or South African Identity Document and a South African Bank Account.
Prize
- One participating business will be drawn from the pool of businesses who requested and completed an obligation-free business insurance quote during the competition period (from 07:00 on 22 August 2022 until 18:00 on 31 October 2022)
- There will be a total of ten winners, each winning R50 000 worth of services focused on providing the respective business with an alternative energy solution.
- The names of the winners will be announced at the end of the period.
- The service provider responsible for providing the service, labour and/or the respective parts will be selected by the winner.
- OUTsurance will pay the prize money directly into the winner or service provider’s account after the work has been completed.
- The winner will need to provide OUTsurance with proof of costs incurred (e.g. invoices or proof of payment)
- Any additional costs incurred (over and above R50 000), will be for the winner’s own account.
- The winner will need to redeem the prize within 6 months once notified that he/she has been selected as a winner.
- OUTsurance is not a party to the agreement between the winner and their service provider of choice, therefore cannot be held liable for the workmanship or services provided by the service provider.
How to enter
- Businesses need to request and complete an obligation-free business insurance quote during the said competition period.
- The obligation-free business insurance quote will need to be completed by 18:00 on 31 October 2022 in order to qualify for entry into the lucky draw.
- The cut-off date and time can be changed at the discretion of OUTsurance.
- Where a business quote was obtained by a person not duly authorised to obtain such a quote on behalf of the policyholder, the entry will be disqualified.
Winner announcement
- The names of the winners will be drawn every Friday during the competition period.
- The winners will be contacted by OUTsurance via email or by telephone within 10 days from the date of the winner being established.
Indemnity
- OUTsurance Holdings and its subsidiaries, its shareholders, directors, members, employees, and sponsors are indemnified against any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever which may be suffered by the Participants entering this draw and/or any loss or damages arising from the use of any of the services rendered and/or parts provided by the winners nominated services provider
- All information (including these rules) relating to this draw that are published on the OUTsurance website or any promotional/advertising material at any time before or during the draw period will form part of the terms and conditions of entry.
- OUTsurance reserves the right to withdraw this Competition before the draw ends, or to extend it, in which case the grand prize will still be drawn at the end of the draw period as envisaged above.
- OUTsurance reserves the right to change the announcement dates at any time without prior notification.
- All parties acknowledge their respective obligations to comply with the provisions of the Protection of
- Personal Information (POPI) Act in so far as it relates to providing, processing, safeguarding the personal information from any unauthorised use, storing, sharing, retaining and use of the client’s personal information in terms of this Agreement. For clarity the definition of “personal information” shall bear the same meaning as assigned to it in terms of the POPI Act.
