OFM and Pep will partner in a regional charity campaign called Operation Outreach.

On Friday, 30 and Saturday, 31 May 2008, OUTsurance, OFM and Pep will partner in a regional charity campaign called Operation Outreach - inviting listeners and the general public to donate blankets - for the less fortunate - at their nearest Pep store.

The campaign will be launched in three phases. Phase one consists of a virtual blanket campaign on www.ofm.co.za where people will be invited to fill in their details and donate a virtual blanket. They can also see how many blankets their town has donated on the Blanket Barometer. Phase two consist of an on-air campaign where OFM presenters will talk about Operation Outreach, supported with an on-air commercial, encouraging listeners to start donating their blankets or to buy a blanket for R29.99 at any Pep store in their region and place them in the branded bins.

The final phase of the campaign rolls out the weekend of 30 May, with Friday highlighting a corporate challenge where businesses can challenge each other to donate blankets.

On Saturday, 31 May, join OUTsurance and the OFM presenters at Pep branches in Vanderbijlpark, Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp, Kimberley, Welkom and at the OUTsurance Oval in Bloemfontein - meet rugby legend, Os du Randt, and help them cover the entire cricket field with blankets.

Help those less fortunate combat the cold this winter and be part of the Operation OUTreach blanket drive - brought to you by OFM, Pep and OUTsurance.

Alternatively you can sms "quote" to 31574 and we'll call you. For each quote completed, OUTsurance will donate a blanket to Operation OUTreach on your behalf. That's right. A few minutes of your time will not only provide someone less fortunate with a blanket this winter it could also save you money on your short term insurance in the process.
