The Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance Annual Report is out and OUTsurance has come out tops, again.

OUTsurance has continued its impressive run of having the fewest complaints referred to the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance (OSTI), when compared to the 10 largest short-term insurers by claims volume.

In the most recent OSTI Annual Report, OUTsurance’s referral rate sits at a mere 0.87 complaints per 1 000 claimed submitted, with the average referral rate for the peer group being 1.33 complaints per 1 000 claims.

OUTsurance’s complaint referral rate is down from last year’s figure of 0.88 complaints per 1 000 claims and marks the seventh year straight where the insurer has led the pack in this regard.

Danie Matthee, OUTsurance CEO, comments, “When we say that we’re client-centric, we’re not paying lip service. In fact, we put in an incredible amount of work every single day to prove it – by creating the best products and innovations we can, giving world-class service, treating our clients fairly and, of course, ensuring that claims are settled accurately and as quickly as possible.”

OUTsurance is also the current holder of a number of accolades, as voted by the readers of various publications, showing that the public seems to agree.
