Based on the 2023 report issued by the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance (OSTI), we have once again outperformed the average of the 12 largest comparable short-term insurers with only 1.075 complaints referred to the OSTI out of every 1 000 claims. This is in stark contrast to the average referral rate of 2.274 of the 12 largest comparable insurers by claims volume.

OUTsurance pioneered the OUTbonus in 1998 as a cash reward to clients for remaining claim free. Since then, we have paid more than R6 billion in cash OUTbonuses to clients throughout South Africa; an impressive average of R1.78 million in OUTbonuses paid out per day.
In April 2024, we set a new standard in the pet insurance industry by becoming the first South African insurer to pay R1 million in OUTbonuses to pet insurance clients.
