If your pet has been covered by any pet insurer for at least 12 consecutive months directly preceding your pet's cover start date, we will consider reducing or waiving the waiting periods.
For us to consider this, you will need to send proof that your pet was covered for at least 12 consecutive months as well as a letter confirming the claims experience at the other insurer. The applicable waiting periods will still be applied for congenital or hereditary conditions as well as the exclusions listed in your policy schedule.
No. You will be pleased to know that - If you need to claim, you will always pay a fixed excess amount, regardless of the final claim amount. Some pet insurers charge percentage-based excesses where you'll pay a percentage based on the value of your claim.
