Driving your company’s success by applying basic leadership principles

Embrace lifelong learning

Make lifelong learning a priority by reading articles on global affairs, economics, politics, and advancements in technology. This will help you to make better decisions and to have more context around challenges you may be facing. Although you won’t necessarily be an expert in any of those topics, you’ll be in a better position to understand the reasoning behind the decisions the business is making.

Lead with a team of exceptional individuals

It’s critical to have other people around you who can guide you. You have to know when to lead and when to take a step back. This is only possible when you’re surrounded by capable individuals – people who are smarter than you and who share your vision and passion to grow the business.

Find and pursue your passion

One of the keys to a successful career is to find something that matches your passion and interests. When you love what you do, every day is an opportunity to bring the best version of yourself to your work and do your life’s best work.

Achieve excellence through hard work

To achieve success in your field, you must outperform your rivals. This may require you to make sacrifices by letting go of things that they are not ready to let go of. You also have to work smarter than the competition and you have to be disciplined, focused and determined to reach your goals.

The OUTsurance approach to achieving excellence

At the heart of our approach lies a steadfast dedication to creating simple, easy-to-understand products that provide clients with value for money; to make sure our clients always get something out, whether that’s an OUTbonus or a claim that is paid out.
