Roadside Assistance

Help@OUT will come to the rescue of our car insurance clients when you and your wheels need us most. We can just imagine how helpless you must feel if your vehicle breaks down, even if it's only a few kilometres away from home.

We'll arrange a towing service and stay in contact with you until help arrives. OUTsurance will cover all costs relating to the towing and storage of your vehicle - giving you peace of mind that your vehicle is in good hands.

Even for something as simple as a flat battery, flat tyre or when you accidentally locked your keys in your vehicle - we'll pay the callOUT fee and first hour of labour. Should you run out of fuel, let Help@OUT bring you 10 litres of fuel - absolutely free of charge.

Want to know the really great part? If your vehicle breaks down and you are left stranded more than 50 kilometres from home, we'll help you OUT by arranging and contributing towards hotel accommodation or alternative transport where necessary. We'll also pay for the repatriation (i.e. return) of your vehicle.

 

  • Roadside assistance is available to OUTsurance clients in South Africa with annual limits of R5 000 and a maximum two incidents per OUTsured vehicle.
  • Help@OUT is still available when your limits are exceeded, but any costs incurred for the services rendered will be for your own account.
  • Costs for materials, parts and additional labour are not included.
  • Help@OUT is not covered under Essential OUTsurance. However, we can still refer you to a service provider in your area.


Business OUTsurance also provides Help@OUT emergency roadside assistance for businesses.

Need help at home?

Home Assistance

If an emergency occurs at home, Help@OUT will quickly sort it OUT for you.

Help@OUT will organise a qualified locksmith, electrician, plumber, tree feller, bee keeper, builder or glazier to attend to your crisis as soon as possible. We'll pay for the callOUT fee and first hour of labour. Should you need the services of a security guard as a result of an insured incident that leaves your security compromised, OUTsurance will pay for the first 12-hour shift.

OUTsurance also has a list of preferred service providers to assist you with home appliance repairs or services. Even if you're known for your DIY skills in local circles, some tasks are just better left to the experts.

 

  • Home assistance is available to OUTsurance clients with contents or buildings insurance with annual limits of R5 000 and a maximum of two incidents at each noted address.
  • Help@OUT is still available when your limits are exceeded, but any costs incurred for the services rendered will be for your own account.
  • Cost for materials, parts and additional labour are not included.
  • Help@OUT is not covered under Essential OUTsurance. However, we can still refer you to a service provider in your area.


Business OUTsurance also provides Help@OUT emergency office assistance for businesses.

Emergency Medical Assistance

Medical and Legal Assistance

A professional medical and legal phone advice line is available anywhere in South Africa - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is an optional cover and a small additional premium is charged.

 

Emergency Medical Assistance


You will receive the following services:

  • Advice for any medical emergency or trauma.
  • Referrals to medical practitioners and facilities.
  • Refundable hospital admission deposit up to R5 000.
  • Medical emergency response and transportation (excluding inter-hospital transfers).
  • Despatch of doctor and/or essential medicine.
  • Escorted return of minors.

 

Trauma and HIV care


You will receive telephonic counselling and support, three face-to-face counselling sessions per incident as well as:

  • HIV blood tests - at time of event, six weeks and four months.
  • HIV three-day starter pack of anti-retroviral treatment.
  • Medication to prevent Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

 

Legal Assistance


You will have access to telephonic legal advice and assistance with any legal documentation, such as wills and contracts.
