You'll get your very own, dedicated claims advisor who will take care of your claim and they'll work closely with one of our handpicked service providers to get the repairs or replacements sorted as quickly and efficiently as possible.
OUTsurance is one of the few insurance companies in South Africa where you'll only pay a fixed excess amount, irrespective of the value or nature of your claim and - in the case of car theft claims - there's no compulsory six-week waiting period for your claim to be processed. A valid claim will be paid out as soon as the necessary paperwork has been completed.
For an even better claims experience, here's how you can help
- Report any incidents of theft, fire, lost items, hijacking, attempted theft, attempted hijacking, as well as any damage caused intentionally to the police within 24 hours of the incident.
- Make sure to report your claim (or any incident that may lead to a claim) to us within 30 days. In fact, the sooner you let us know, the better.
- Please help us get your claim processed as soon as possible by providing us with all information and documents we ask for, within the timeframe we set.
- If you're involved in a car accident, remember to get the personal details of the other party - driver's name, ID number, car registration number and contact details. Please also inlcude a sketch and short description of the accident.
Although your OUTbonus will be forfeited following a claim, your new OUTbonus cycle starts immediately. If you remain claim-free for three consecutive years thereafter, you'll receive 10% of your total premiums back in cash. The good news is that making use of Help@OUT and Buddy@OUT services do not affect your OUTbonus.
