OUTsurance 702 Pointsmen Project Celebrates First Year in Tshwane

This month marks the 1st birthday celebration for the Tswhane OUTsurance 702 Pointsmen Project. In May 2011, after six years of experiencing tremendous success in Johannesburg, project manager Traffic Freeflow (TFF), short-term insurance company OUTsurance and media partner Talk Radio 702 decided that the time was right to extend the project to Tshwane.

After months of uncertainty over the future of the OUTsurance 702 Pointsmen, the City of Johannesburg awarded the tender to the current project manager, Traffic Freeflow. The new agreement allows Traffic Freeflow to act as project managers until March 2015.

OUTsurance warns against the dangers of car jamming

Too many South Africans are still falling victim to theft because of remote control jamming. Thieves use a standard 400MHz gate or garage remote control to jam the signal sent by a car remote control, effectively preventing your door locks from engaging.  Thieves then have ample opportunity to open the unlocked doors, open the boot from the inside and steal items of their choosing.

On 8 December 2011, Moses Moipolai was named overall winner of the 2011 OUTsurance 702 OUTshine Awards. He received R40 000 in Builders Warehouse vouchers for displaying exceptional commitment and true passion in performing his duties as a pointsman. 

 

OUTsurance Talk 702 Pointsmen project open for public tender

Last week Johannesburg commuters had to fend for themselves in the midst of chaotic peak-hour traffic when it was announced that the City of Johannesburg temporarily suspended the services of the OUTsurance 702 Pointsmen project.  

The 2011 OUTsurance KZN Expedition marks yet another win for Mr.A Hill

18 November 2011 - The past weekend marked the third successive win for Team TIB in the OUTsurance KZN Expedition event. TIB team member, Andrew Hill, was a clear favourite to win the race – and with two successive wins already behind his belt, he once again came out tops as individual winner of this event.
