Business Help@OUT roadside assistance

You will automatically have access to this service if your commercial vehicle's Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) is less than 3 500 kg. This includes passenger vehicles, light delivery vehicles and motorcycles.

An annual limit of R10 000 applies to the cover.

  • If the vehicle breaks down, we will tow it to the nearest repairer or a suitable place for safe keeping. The initial tow-in cost is limited to R5 000 per incident and the cost of any additional tows is not covered. We will also pay R1 000 per incident for the safe storage of your vehicle. Also, if you're left stranded more than 50 km from your business address, we'll pay up to R400 for hotel accommodation or alternative transport. We'll also pay R400 for the repatriation (i.e. return) of your vehicle.
  • Some roads may not be in a good condition. So, if your vehicle gets stuck in the mud, we will recover it for you. The recovery cost is limited to R5 000 per incident.
  • Even if it is something as simple as running out of fuel, we'll pay the service provider's call-out fee and supply you with 20 litres of fuel to get you back on the road again.

Optional cover for vehicles with a mass exceeding 3 500 kg

If the vehicle mass exceeds 3 500 kg, you can add roadside assistance to your facility at an additional premium. This premium will be specific to each vehicle for which you have selected cover. The costs for materials, parts and additional labour are not included. Where the vehicle is carrying stock or other goods, the cost of salvaging these items and cleaning up are excluded.
