This past weekend car enthusiasts from across the country raced to the TicketPro Dome to experience the motoring overload that was the Clarkson, Hammond and May Live show.

You appreciate the mechanics behind every engine; you actually know the difference between the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S and the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS; driving isn’t just getting from A to B and speed and skilful racing excite you. You’re a petrolhead and you love your car. To the average motorist, words like break horse power and naturally aspirated engines are gibberish, but to a motoring enthusiast, these are the exciting features that make cars great! If you’re a petrolhead you take cars seriously because you understand and deeply respect the power and design in their technology and you love everything about them, from the classics to the super cars.

This past weekend car enthusiasts from across the country raced to the TicketPro Dome to experience the motoring overload that was the Clarkson, Hammond and May Live show.

Who better to entertain crowds of motor junkies than Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, three men synonymous with the motoring world and the former presenters of the BBC television series Top Gear?

There were concerns that the motoring supporters who wait on baited breath each year to book tickets for this extreme motoring event might not get to experience a 2015 show after the breakdown of the Top Gear series. But to the relief of their fans, disappointment was averted and a new show became a reality, a production of its own, with no affiliation to previous events.

The surpassed expectations and wowed crowds of thousands of people, with a 90 minute live motoring extravaganza like no other. The men who make up this motoring trio know how to fuel an audience with bold humour and unconventional automotive ideas, and yet stay true to their love of cars. It is this balance of qualities that makes their team extremely successful because it is the definition of what it means to be a petrolhead.

The TicketPro Dome was brought to life with a display of motoring excellence in appreciation of 50 years of Lamborghini, of which one of the beauties was the rare Aventador. The heated debates, competitions and vast knowledge of the presenters made for great entertainment during a parade of their favourite supercars through the arena.

Petrolheads were given a truly outrageous experience involving an out of the box motorised chariot race among other explosive motoring stunts. The excitement of the show peaked when the audience was treated to appearances by the event’s special guest, rally champion and gymkhana motorsport legend Ken Block.

Being a car enthusiast isn’t just about speed and outrageous stunts, it’s about having an appreciation for motoring, from a car’s performance to its looks. If you’re a true car lover you take pride in keeping yours in pristine condition; cleaned and polished, parts serviced and fluids checked. You’re interested in its drive performance and fuel handling and you enjoy the ride. We understand that there are motorists like you, who take care of their cars like they’re part of the family and that your baby needs an insurance company to care for you as much as you care for your car. At OUTsurance no matter who you are or what you drive, if you love your car, you’ll love our premiums.
