OUTsurance and 94.7 Ground Patrol warms up Gauteng this winter.

As temperatures plummeted across the highveld this winter, 94.7's Ground patrol team - Gavin, Nwabisa and Ricci - couldn't help but think of all the people having to cope with the early morning chill, without the comfort of cosy beds and warm clothes. So they started working on the second Ground Patrol blanket drive. The station was excited about the initiative and new presenter, Pabi Moloi, was particularly keen to get involved. OUTsurance came on board again, agreeing to donate two blankets for each quote completed during the drive.

Collections were set up at malls around Gauteng and the team set a target of 12 000 blankets, which they far exceeded, and over 20 tons of goods, which included clothes and food, were distributed to a number of worthy charities around the province. Thanks to all Joburgers who donated so generously - your blankets made a huge difference in someone's life.
