OUTsurance's Life Insurance product also provides Comprehensive Death Cover (also referred to as Life Cover) to cover you in the event of death. This includes a terminal illness benefit – where, if you have a life expectancy of less than 12 months, we’ll pay 50% of the Sum OUTsured to a maximum of R1 million. Alternatively, you can take out Accidental Death Cover where we’ll pay out the Sum OUTsured if you die as a result of an accident.

If you become disabled during the period of cover, we’ll pay out the Sum OUTsured. You can select Own Occupation Cover where an illness/injury resulted in you being permanently disabled and you’re no longer able to perform your own occupation.

Alternatively, you can choose our Own or Suitable Occupation option where your permanent disability means that you can no longer perform your own or any suitable occupation taking your training, education, ability and experience into account.

Critical Illness Insurance

OUTsurance will provide life insurance cover in case you’re diagnosed with a critical illness.

You can choose to take out Comprehensive Cover where you’re covered for 40 critical illnesses.

Alternatively, you can choose Core Critical Illness Cover and receive cover in case you’re diagnosed with one of 27 critical illnesses.
